KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A third teenager has been charged with murder in the deadly shooting of Lucas Juster last month during an alleged drug deal.

Prosecutors charged Deterice R. Doss, 17, of Kansas City, Missouri, with second-degree murder and armed criminal action on Friday for the deadly shooting of 19-year-old Lucas Jester.

The shooting occurred Aug. 10 near an apartment complex in the 8900 block of Lane Drive in Raytown.

Court documents said Jester, who was shot found shot to death in the passenger seat of a vehicle, was going to sell $400 worth of marijuana to Xzaveion King, who also has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with Jester's death.

Police found evidence Jester and King exchanged messages on social media just before the murder, according to a court document.

Doss, King and another man, Aaron Hays, were present when the shooting occurred, prosecutors said.

Doss told police King asked him to go with him to inspect the marijuana.

Both King and Doss accused the other of wanting to rob Jester, the document states.

King, an 18-year-old from Lee's Summit, also told police he knew Doss carried a gun and robbed people, the document states.

Hays also has been charged with second-degree murder and delivery of a controlled substance.
