KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Blue Springs, Missouri, police officer was hospitalized after a traffic collision Saturday afternoon.
The officer was conducting a traffic stop at 2:07 p.m. in the area of Southeast Adams Dairy Parkway and Southeast Shamrock Lane when a BSPD vehicle was struck by another vehicle.
The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and was expected to be kept overnight for observation, according to a Blue Springs police spokesperson.
Doctors ended up releasing the officer Saturday evening.
"He is resting and recovering," Blue Springs police said Sunday in a statement.
The other driver stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.
