2 suspects in Clinton County manhunt taken into custody

UPDATE, 10:50 a.m. Aug. 27 | The Clinton County Sheriff's Office said both suspects were taken into custody on Thursday morning.

The Cameron Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted in the arrests.

UPDATE, Aug. 27 | On Thursday morning Clinton County deputies, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers and Cameron police officers were still looking for two suspects involved in a pursuit and considered to be dangerous.

The suspects were captured on camera in the area of 7050 Northwest Jones Road, which is west of Wallace State Park.

The Sheriff's Office said the suspects are wanted for questioning for resisting arrest, possession of a stolen vehicle and dangerous drugs.

ORIGINAL STORY, Aug. 26 | Clinton County deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers are conducting a manhunt in Wallace State Park following a pursuit.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department asked residents in the area of the park, off of Missouri Highway 121, to “be on the lookout” for two men in their 20s.

One man is wearing a red cap and a white shirt. That man is “considered armed,” according to the sheriff’s department.

Anyone who sees the men is asked to call 911.
