Death of KCK man found in field ruled a homicide, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The death of a man whose body was found in a field in Kansas City, Kansas on Monday has been ruled a homicide, police said Thursday. 

Around 6:10 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a dead body in the 1200 block of North 79th Street. They found a man in his early 30s dead in a field, police said in a news release. 

The victim was identified as 30-year-old Than Dun of KCK. 

 Police said Thursday that the suspicious death was now a homicide investigation.
