High-speed police chase ends in crash at Truman and MLK Blvd

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two suspects and an innocent were person were injured in a high-speed chase that started in Overland Park and ended in Kansas City, Missouri Wednesday night.

The driver of a white Cadillac and a passenger inside the vehicle were wanted by Olathe police for aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.

Overland Park police began pursuing the vehicle near 85th Street and Switzer Road. The suspects eventually made it to I-35 and exceeded speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

The chase ended when the suspects got off the interstate and collided with another vehicle near Truman and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard—formerly known as The Paseo.

Both suspects were injured in the crash. An innocent person was also injured. All three people's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The suspect's vehicle was connected to a burglary in Olathe at about 6:48 p.m. The victim told police that a suspect entered his occupied home on the 40 block of Ventura and stole a television. The victim said the suspect pointed a gun at him as he was leaving.
