Kansas City, Kansas police say an officer was dragged by a vehicle when the driver attempted to flee the scene of an accident.
Officials say an officer responded to a single car accident at 67th Street and State Avenue on Tuesday. The driver had an outstanding warrant and tried to flee when police tried to arrest him.
The driver backed up his vehicle, which trapped the officer in the door and dragged him into the roadway. He suffered minor injuries.
The suspect initially escaped the scene but was taken into custody in Kansas City, Mo. later on Tuesday.
