UPDATE, THURSDAY, MAY 11 | The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department has identified the victim of a Tuesday homicide as Alonzo E. Mosley, 55, of Kansas City, Kansas.

Per KCKPD, Mosley was found deceased inside the residence at the location of the shooting.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information pertaining to this case is asked to contact the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). All tips remain anonymous.

ORIGINAL STORY, TUESDAY, MAY 9 | One person died in a shooting on Tuesday afternoon in Kansas City, Kansas.

The shooting unfolded just before 2 p.m. at a home in the 2200 block of North 56th Terrace.

The victim initially suffered life-threatening injuries and later died.

It wasn't immediately clear what led to the violence.
