KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting that killed a man on Tuesday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri.
The shooting happened in the 3600 block of Wabash Avenue, according KCPD public information officer Donna Drake.
Officers responded the scene on reports of shots fired, but while en route, the call was upgraded to a shooting.
When they arrived to the scene, police found the the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital and later died.
KCPD identified the victim Thursday as Jamal W. Garcia, 53.
