KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police said multiple people were shot in the 1500 block of West 12th Street in the West Bottoms overnight.
Police were called to the area just after midnight.
When they arrived, officers found a man in a gas station parking lot who had been shot.
He died on the scene.
A short time later, officers were told multiple shooting victims had arrived at the hospital.
One of those victims, a woman, died at the hospital.
Police said they aren't sure how many additional victims there are, but they think at least three others were shot and have non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are searching the area for witnesses.
