Victim drives to Family Dollar after being shot in Northland, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man was injured in a shooting on Saturday night in the Northland.

According to KCPD, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3500 block of NE Vivion Road at around 6:45 p.m.

Responding officers made contact with the victim, who said he was near Interstate 35 and Chouteau Trafficway when a car pulled next to him and started shooting.

The man then drove to a Family Dollar and requested help from employees at the store.

Police said the victim was in stable condition.
