KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire in the 5300 block of Independence Avenue.
Firefighters got the call around 12:25 a.m.
When they arrived, the three-story apartment building was fully involved.
KCFD says the building is abandoned and was vacant at the time of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
