KANSAS CITY, Kan. — One person died Wednesday night in a shooting in Kansas City, Kansas.
Police responded to a possible life-threatening shooting around 7:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Cleveland Avenue.
KCKPD Public Information Officer Jonathon Westbrook confirmed around 8:30 p.m. to 41 Action News that the shooting victim had died.
Police later identified the victim as 21-year-old Jamal Washington of KCK.
Several bullets also struck a gas line in the area, but there was no leak detected.
The investigation is ongoing. There is no information about what led to the shooting or any suspect information.
