KANSAS CITY, Kan. – A Lenexa man known as Kansas City rapper “C-Los El Gran” was sentenced to 168 months in prison for his role in a $4 million drug trafficking conspiracy involving methamphetamine.
Carlos Sierra faces the equivalent of 14 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to a count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, according to U.S. Attorney Tom Beall.
He admitted he was part of the drug trafficking operation headed up by his half-brother (and co-defendant), Edwin Pacheco.
Beall said in a news release the pair distributed meth in the Kansas City metro area.
The release also detailed the investigation, saying investigators used informants and surveillance to crack the case. They monitored Sierra and Pacheco’s conversations, in many of which they discussed the operation and how to make more money.
Pacheco is awaiting sentencing.
Sierra had a handgun on him when he was arrested in KCK.
