KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead after a shooting outside a Kansas City, Kansas, apartment complex.
KCK police said officers were called to the scene at Crestwood Apartments, which is in the 2100 block of North 57th Street, around 3:15 p.m.
A disturbance involving a few people was reported in the area, and when officers arrived they found one person who had been shot.
After a preliminary investigation, police determined that an argument led to the shooting. The victim, according to police, was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. The victim later died as a result of the injury.
A person of interest is in custody, according to police.
