KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A firearms store in Kansas City, Missouri, was burglarized overnight, police said.

Around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to Drum Magazines, a sporting goods store at 4015 Sterling Ave.

Officers found the entry to the store had been forced, and it appeared that numerous firearms were missing from display cases.

According to a spokesman with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, three suspects made forced entry into the store around 12:30 a.m.

John Ham, senior investigator with the ATF's Kansas City Division, said the suspects took several firearms before fleeing in a vehicle.

The ATF is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest or the recovery of the stolen firearms.

ATF agents and Blue Springs police also are investigating an attempted break-in that occurred early Tuesday at Hughes Defense, a gun shop at 1008 W. Main St.

Two suspects got into the store, but no firearms were taken.

The president of Hughes Defense provided surveillance video to 41 Action News that shows the attempted break-in and the suspects inside the store:
