KCMO police investigate homicide in Kessler Park

UPDATE, TUESDAY | The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department has ruled the suspicious death as a homicide, and is investigating it accordingly.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

ORIGINAL STORY, MONDAY | Kansas City, Missouri, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are investigating a suspicious death Monday night in the city's Northeast neighborhood.

A person walking in Kessler Park near Lexington and Wabash avenues spotted an adult male on the ground.

Police and paramedics were sent to the park. Paramedics declared the man dead.

No information on the man's identity or how he died was immediately available.

No other information was available on the victim or possible suspects.
