KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police announced on Tuesday night that they made an arrest in a Monday morning homicide that occurred near 35th Street and Montgall Avenue.
Police were called to the area after reports of shots fired just before 6 a.m. Monday when they found a man dead on the sidewalk from gunshot wounds.
Later that day, they released a photo of a person of interest in the case. According to the KCPD Twitter, the person was found thanks to Crimestoppers tips from the community.

Police also identified the victim of the homicide as 59-year-old Reginald L. Rembert on Wednesday.
The name of the man arrested has not been released at this time. He is awaiting charges.
