KCPD investigating death of man found on sidewalk as homicide

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police said Thursday morning they are investigating a man’s death as a homicide.

KCPD officers were called to the area of 63rd Street and South Benton Boulevard around 5:45 a.m.

When they got there, they found a man — identified Friday as Marcus Warren, 30, of KCMO — on the sidewalk with no signs of life.

Police said the cause of his death is unknown, but it is being investigated as a homicide.
