KCPD investigating Tuesday morning homicide on Bellefontaine

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police are investigating a Tuesday morning homicide.

The homicide happened just after 9 a.m. at 49th Street and Bellefontaine Avenue.

"On arrival officers were directed to an adult male shooting victim, Terylle Gorham, 31, in the parking lot of an apartment building there," a release from KCPD said.

The victim was declared deceased at the scene.

"Detectives are canvassing the area now to hopefully identify any witnesses to give them a better idea of what led up to the shooting," KCPD said. "Crime scene investigators are also processing the scene for any evidence as well."

No other information was immediately released.
