KCPD: Man shot to death after disturbance in 8000 block of Brooklyn Avenue

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police were called to the 8000 block of Brooklyn Avenue around 9:30 p.m., where the city’s 46th homicide victim of 2019 was found inside a house.

Kansas City, Missouri, police responding to a shooting call at that location believe there was a disturbance inside, which led to the shooting.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KCPD Sgt. Jake Becchina.

Police later identified the victim as 32-year-old Ronny Henderson of Kansas City.

“Detectives are working to piece together exactly what led up to the shooting and the disagreement inside the house and working to identify who the suspect may be,” Becchina said.

Police have interviewed several witnesses at the scene, but no one had been taken into custody.
