KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City, Missouri, released a clearer image of the suspect vehicle in a shooting that left 4-year-old LeGend Taliferro dead.
KCPD previously released a short surveillance video clip and photo of the vehicle June 30, but authorities hope the clearer image will generate more tips in the case.

LeGend was asleep at a unit in the Citadel Apartment apartment near East 63rd Street and Paseo Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. on June 29 when someone opened fire on the building.
LeGend was struck in the head and later died.
His death, the city’s 92nd homicide at the time, sparked calls for change from far and wide.
The Department of Justice announced a program last week named in the child’s honor, Operation Legend, to saturate Kansas City with federal agents to help clear a backlog of unsolved murders and shootings.
Some in the KCMO community believe Operation Legend may create more problems than it solves.
Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark is helping the family pay for LeGend’s funeral.
Anyone with information about the case or the vehicle in the photo is asked to call the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers Tips Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
