KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is asking for helping in locating 45 year-old Kashawn Roper.

Police say Roper is a suspect in the murder of 23-year-old Jazmyn Henrion who died after being shot last August.

According to court documents, Roper is charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of unlawful use of weapon.

After conducting interviews, a witness listed as "T.B." identified Roper as the woman responsible for shooting Henrion.

The shooting happened after an altercation between Henrion and Roper according to T.B.

Following the altercation, T.B. pulled away and heard gunshots shortly after. Someone inside her vehicle said Henrion had been struck by a bullet so T.B. drove to Research Medical Center.

Henrion was found inside the vehicle dead from a gun shot wound.
