UPDATE, Oct. 9 | The hearing scheduled for Oct. 19 was moved to Nov. 2 because of the courthouse moving back to phase one of COVID-19 operations.

ORIGINAL STORY, Oct. 7 | A trial date for accused double murderer Kylr Yust has been set for April 5, 2021.

Jury selection will begin March 29 through April 1, according to state documents.

Yust is accused of killing Kara Kopetsky and Jessica Runions a decade apart - in 2007 and 2016 respectively. Their bodies were found near each other in rural Cass County in 2017.

His trial has been repeatedly delayed due to case developments and COVID-19 concerns.

The trial will take place in Cass County, but the jury will be selected from St. Charles County, near St. Louis.

There will also be a case review for Yust on Oct. 19, 2020.
