Leawood police looking for a man who they say robbed a bank inside a Price Chopper

Police say a man robbed a U.S. Bank branch located inside a Price Chopper in Leawood, Kan. on Saturday.

The alleged incident occurred at the Price Chopper located on 95th and Mission Road.

A release from the Leawood Police Department describe the suspect as a white male in his 40s, wearing a black wide-rimmed hat, a black suit jacket and a beard. 

Offcials say the suspect approached a bank teller and announced a robbery. He fled the store on foot eastbound through the parking lot with an unknown amount of money.

Leawood police have requested assistance from the FBI in the case.
