KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Kansas City, Kansas said a KCK woman, who is a former U.S. Postal Service worker, stole three pieces of mail containing cash and gift cards that were supposed to go to three Kansas City area residents.
Stacey L. Kampfer has been charged with three counts of theft of government mail in an indictment released Wednesday.
Court documents allege Kampfer stole a $50 Target Visa debit card on July 7, 2016, that was supposed to be delivered to a person in Kansas City, Kansas. On about the same day, Kampfer allegedly stole a $10 Target gift card and $10 in cash destined for a person in the northland.
A third count alleges that between June 6 and June 15, 2016, Kampfer stole a $100 Target Visa debit card that was supposed to be delivered to a person in Mission, Kansas.
A court date for Kampfer hasn’t yet been set.
