KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man died and woman was injured after a double shooting in northeast Kansas City.
It happened near Askew and Morrell avenues around 3 a.m. Friday.
KCPD Capt. Tim Hernandez said the 51-year-old man, identified Saturday as Charles Cecil, and woman, 53, were outside on the sidewalk when the shooting happened.
The woman was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries. Late Friday morning, Hernandez said the woman was in stable condition.
Police did not have any information on a possible suspect.
