KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One man is dead following a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Kansas City, Missouri, in which the man had to be extricated from his vehicle.
Police responded around 5:30 p.m. to the area of East 40th Street and Agnes, where the driver of a silver Honda Pilot, driving at a “high rate of speed,” failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a black Chrysler 300.
The man in the Chrysler was extricated and transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The female driver of the Pilot, who suffered minor injuries, attempted to flee on foot, but was taken into custody with incident, police said.
Police are investigating the Honda’s driver for impairment.
