UPDATE, Dec. 24 | The victim was identified as 24-year-old Deytona Tenner of Kansas City, Missouri.

UPDATE, 1:40 p.m. Dec. 21 | Kansas City, Missouri, police said the man's death is being investigated as a fatality hit-and-run.

KCPD's traffic investigations unit is handling the investigation.

ORIGINAL, Dec. 20 | Police are looking for answers after a man was found dead Sunday morning in Kansas City, Missouri.

The victim was found about just after 9 a.m. near Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Elmwood Avenue, police said.

The death is considered suspicious, a police spokesperson said.

No other information was released.
