KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE 7:15 PM 2/21/2017: A Kansas City man has been charged in a fatal shooting at a gas station Monday.
Kameron L. Gines, 23, is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
Officers were called to 27th and Indiana at around 3 p.m. Monday.
They found a man on the ground in the parking lot. He was transported to a nearby, hospital where he was declared dead.
Witnesses said the victim was involved in an argument with someone in the parking lot. The other person shot the victim and left the scene in a vehicle.
Officials did not provide a description of the suspect or the vehicle.
A release from KCPD also notes the victim was in a separate altercation with a male in the same parking lot. He left before police arrived on the scene.
Officials released a picture of a person of interest in the shooting Monday evening but did explain how they think he was involved.
