KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Multiple law enforcement agencies are asking for help identifying a woman and man who have allegedly robbed several hotels.
Hotels and motels in Independence, Blue Springs, Raytown, KCMO, Overland Park and Grain Valley have been hit.
A news release from the Blue Springs Police Department said the suspects typically walk straight up to the front desk, pull out a handgun and demand money.
The release also said the suspects drive away in a dark colored, possibly newer model Nissan Sentra without a license plate.
Police said the woman is white, 30 to 40 years old with dirty/dark blonde hair. They said she is between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build.
Than man is white with a medium to heavy build, and was wearing an Under Armour hoodie at the time of the robberies.
A Facebook post from the Overland Park Police Department described the female suspect as short, in her late 40s to early 50s, with long brown hair and wearing a black hooded coat and tall black boots.
She allegedly robbed a hotel in the 10700 block of Barkley.
Grain Valley police also took to Facebook to ask for the public’s help, saying the suspects had hit the Grain Valley Comfort Inn on Sunday evening.
KCPD told 41 Action News the suspects also robbed a hotel at 4011 Blue Ridge Cutoff in Kansas City, Missouri, which is the Four Points by Sheraton near the sports complex.
KCPD said in this case, the man entered wearing a ski mask and gloves, armed with a revolver. KCPD said he took money from the register and got into an older-model, four-door car that was waiting for him outside, driven by a second unknown suspect.
No one has been injured.
