Neighbors: Car thieves target KCK neighborhood

Posted

A Kansas City, Kan., man is working with police to track down the thieves who stole his truck.

Frederick Anderson is going public with his story in hopes that someone will know who stole his vehicle and tell police.

On Wednesday morning, Anderson found out his truck had been stolen.

"It's a gut-wrenching feeling, like, will I ever see my vehicle again? All the money I've spent, the time, and everything is gone plus everything I had in there. All my personal belongings, it's just gone," said Anderson.

His truck was stolen in front of his house near 57th Terrace and Greeley in Kansas City, Kan. Anderson said two other vehicles were also stolen this week in the same area.

"Someone was trying to steal my neighbor's car, and the only thing that saved him is that his car didn't work so the thieves couldn't take it," Anderson explained.

Anderson believes someone knows who the thieves are, and he's hoping they will call police and put the car thieves behind bars.
