KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 44-year-old Olathe man who owned a clinic to treat people with opioid addiction was charged by federal authorities with five counts related to drug trafficking.
The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri announced Thursday that Trevor J. Robinson, who owned and operated Nuvista in Olathe, had been arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and ecstasy.
Kansas City, Missouri, police stopped Robinson in his 2014 Maserati on Oct. 22, 2020. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
During a search, officers found a stash of drugs and cash in his pocket along with a backpack that had a digital scale, more than $12,500 in cash and another stash of drugs.
According to the indictment, there were 15 suspected oxycodone pills, 1 1/2 kilograms of meth, and bags containing cocaine, heroin, additional pills, marijuana and “a leather-bound ledger notebook.”
KCPD, the FBI and the Northeast Kansas Drug Task Force assisted with the investigation.
