UPDATE: Victim identified in Raytown shooting

UPDATE Sept. 12, | Police have identified the victim of Thursday's shooting as Danny Dean of Kansas City, Kan. 

Police believe that there were groups of people that met in the parking lot that evening for what investigators believe was some sort of criminal enterprise.

After some talking and visits back and forth between the various cars, the business ended abruptly with Dean being shot by someone from one of the other cars.

Police have provided a screen shot and short video of the car wanted in this investigation.

A man was shot and killed in a Raytown parking lot and police are looking for a car whose occupants may have been interacting with the victim before he was shot.

The shooting happened at 66th Terrace and Raytown Road outside the Mama China restaurant. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was found by a responding police officer and taken to a hospital, where he died.

An officer at the scene said he saw a light grey or silver car with a "boxy" rear end leaving the scene just after the gunshots were heard.

Police only had a vague description of at least three people in the car.

UPDATE, 7:30 p.m., Sept. 11: Police have released a short video clip of the car they seek.
