An Overland Park man has been charged in an attempted kidnapping in Mission.
Bradlee Campbell, 33, is charged with attempted aggravated kidnapping and aggravated battery.
At 7:30 p.m. Monday, Mission police responded to an incident in the 6600 block of Martway, west of Lamar.
Ashlee McGhee was putting groceries in her vehicle when a Campbell confronted her. Police said he was armed with a sharp object and attempted to force her into her vehicle.

Police said she fought off him off and suffered injuries.
McGhee was able to give police the suspect’s description and which way he went after the attack.
Officers set up a perimeter. The Olathe police canine unit also assisted in the investigation. Police said Campbell was eventually seen climbing down from the roof of a shopping center and taken into custody without incident.
Campbell remains in the Johnson County Jail on $250,000 bond.
