A 49-year-old man has been charged in his sister's murder after she was stabbed to death in Kansas City, Missouri, Saturday morning.
The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office charged Michael L. Mathews, 49, with murder and armed criminal action after police found his sister's body with multiple stab wounds.

Officers were originally called to the 5500 block of Paloma Avenue around 9:45 a.m. following reports of a cutting.
When authorities arrived, they found a black female victim in her 50s lying on the ground inside the residence. She was declared deceased at the scene.
The victim has not yet been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
