One man was killed after being shot inside a home in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police were called to the 300 block of Lawndale Avenue around 3:40 a.m. Sunday morning on reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a while male victim with apparent gunshot wounds inside a residence. The victim, who has been identified as 57-year-old Merle Kitchen of KCMO, was declared deceased at the scene.
There is no suspect information at this time. This is Kansas City's 39th homicide in 2016.
