Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident Saturday afternoon in south KCMO

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday afternoon in south Kansas City, Missouri, in a hit-and-run accident.

An unknown vehicle was traveling north on Troost Avenue near East 86th Terrace when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street at around 3:39 p.m. The vehicle continued north on Troost Avenue after striking the pedestrian, according to a spokesperson

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
