KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Several juveniles have been detained following problems and fights Saturday night at Independence Center, according to Independence police.

According to a Facebook post, Independence Police asked other agencies for help around 7 p.m. Saturday night after receiving reports of 300 juveniles “causing problems” at the center.

Police are asking parents who might have a child that was at Independence Center to come and pick them up.

The detentions are part of what police are describing as “zero tolerance” at Independence Center.

There was no word of any serious injuries associated with the incident.
