Police investigating homicide that possibly happened near 29th, Askew

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man is dead after an overnight shooting in Kansas City, Missouri, police said.

Officers were called to an area hospital just after 11:20 p.m. Sunday for a gunshot victim.

The victim, identified as 37-year-old Rayford Reed, died of his injuries.

Police were sent to the area of 29th Street and Askew Avenue, where a possible crime scene was located.
