KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police responded to a homicide late Wednesday night in the 2600 block of Agnes Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri.

Details about what led to the violence weren't made available, but the victim was identified Thursday morning as Vonzell Bryant, 70.

The homicide marked KCMO's first of 2024.

Kansas City is coming off its deadliest year ever with 182 homicides in 2023.
