Road rage incident on I-435 in KCMO leads to standoff, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A road rage incident Tuesday along Interstate 435 in Kansas City, Missouri, led to a standoff at a home, according to police.

Around noon, a driver contacted police after reporting there were shots fired on the interstate near Bannister Road.

After pulling off the highway, the driver noticed a bullet hole in his car.

The driver provided police with a description of the suspect car, which police located and tracked to a home near East 70th Street and Brooklyn Avenue.

Police said people left the vehicle and entered the house, which prompted police to call for additional resources to locate the possible suspects.

After several hours, police received a warrant to enter the house. They did not locate any suspects or people of interest.
