A man who has been charged in connection to multiple child molestation cases in Johnson County, Kan., has now been charged in Jackson County, Mo.
Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced Saturday new charges against Sean Dow.
Dow, 28, has been charged with statutory sodomy in the first degree, child molestation in the first degree and sexual exploitation of a minor, along with possession of child pornography.
The charges come after a 7-year-old girl told forensic interviewers at the Child Protection Center that Dow touched her in her private areas.
Investigators also allegedly discovered child pornography on Dow’s computer.
The charges stem from an incident that happened sometime between Aug. 1, 2013 and April 21, 2015, according to a probable cause statement.
Dow faces similar charges in Johnson County, Kan.
On April 9, 2015, Dow was charged with three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child under the age of 14.
After the initial charges, more child victims came forward against Dow.
He was a guitar instructor at the Funky Munky Music shop in Shawnee, Kan.
His employment was terminated shortly after the charges happened.
Dow went missing earlier this summer
On June 13, 2015, Dow went missing after he removed an ankle bracelet that law enforcement used to keep track of his location.
Five days later, Dow was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department after a tipster alerted police to him.
He remains in custody in Johnson County.
