Antonio Golston, 22, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the 2014 killing of Dionte Greene.

Greene's body was found in the early morning hours of Oct. 31, 2014 near 69th and Bellefontaine. He was shot in the head.

According to court documents, witnesses told police before the shooting the victim had been contacting people on Facebook about meeting. A search of Greene’s Facebook account showed several messages between the victim and a person detectives identified as Travone Shaw.

Shaw was already sentenced to 17 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter and two counts of armed criminal action.

Golston, who was convicted in Jackson County, is charged with first degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action, in addition to the second degree manslaughter charge.

Officials haven't set a date for his sentencing.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story said Golston was convicted of second-degree murder, based on a release from the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office. An updated release from the prosecutor's office said the charge was voluntary manslaughter. The story has been updated.
