KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Shawnee police arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with several recent burglaries and sexual assaults.
An arrest warrant was issued for William Louis Elliot for aggravated burglary and aggravated sexual battery on Monday, Shawnee police said in a news release.
Police responded to three residential burglaries over the last few days. In each burglary, a suspect made entry into the residence through an unlocked door, police said. The incidents also involved an alleged sexual assault or attempted sexual assault inside the residence.
Two of the incidents occurred near 75th and Goddard streets and the third occurred near 55th and Caenen streets, police said.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Elliot remains in police custody.
