Shooting death on Lockridge Avenue is KCMO's 99th homicide in 2019

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, is closing in on 100 homicides for this year after yet another shooting Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded shortly before 6 p.m. to a shots fired call in the 2600 block of Lockridge Avenue, finding a 26-year-old man in the street suffering from gunshot wounds upon arrival.

The victim — identified Wednesday as Isaac Brown — was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 8 p.m. He is the 99th homicide in the city in 2019, according to police.

Witnesses said two young black male suspects were seen running eastbound from the scene. There is no other suspect information at this time.
