KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed in a shooting Wednesday night in Kansas City, Kansas.
Originally, officers were dispatched around 7:30 p.m. to the 1600 block of Birch Street.
Police later located a male victim who had been shot in the 2200 block of Silver Court.
The man was transported to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.
A person of interest was taken into custody Wednesday night.
This incident is under investigation.
