Spokesperson: Police shooting reported in Independence

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A spokesperson for the Independence Police Department says a police shooting is under investigation Thursday afternoon.

Police are on the scene of the incident in the area of Larkspur Lane and Missouri 291 Frontage Road.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area.
