KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A suspect is in custody for injuring someone after allegedly throwing an explosive into a vehicle in Independence overnight.

The incident happened near U.S. 24 Highway and N. Spring Street.

No word on what kind of explosive was thrown or what led to the incident.

Police didn't immediately provide a condition of the victim or if the vehicle sustained any major damage.
