A teenager is in custody following an apparent homicide in Liberty, Mo.
Liberty police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Pier Street just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
When arriving, they found the body of a 17-year-old male. The victim, who was killed in a stabbing, was identified as Shawn Bonchek.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A teenager was arrested at the scene. He is in custody of the Clay County Sheriff's Department.
