Teen girl charged with killing man at Independence home

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An Independence, Missouri, teenage girl is charged with murder in the shooting death of a man twice her age.

The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office Tuesday charged Ingenue Persinger, 18, with second degree murder and armed criminal action.

She is accused of shooting and killing 38-year-old Donald McIntosh Jr. on March 24 in a house at 2910 S. Forest Ave., in Independence.

Court documents state police found McIntosh on a bedroom floor with several gunshot wounds.

He died at a hospital a short time later.

Detectives talked with several people and were told Persinger shot McIntosh, court documents state.

Persinger surrendered to police March 25.

She admitted to detectives she shot McIntosh, according to court documents.
